DOSMIC
A downloadable game for Windows

A boy named Nero, born from a mysterious portal.
To him, the girl named Snoa, who was always by his side, meant everything.
But one day, a sudden catastrophe twisted the world, leaving Nero completely alone.
Now, in a realm swallowed by darkness, he begins a perilous journey to find her.
“Find her.”
You play as Nero, a boy chasing after the traces of Snoa.Through the ruins of a broken world, memories of their time together resurface.
The magic and cloak she left behind will guide you through the dangers ahead.
“If they see you, you die.”
This world is filled with towering, grotesque beings with twisted movements.
The moment they detect you, there is no resistance—only disappearance.
Stay hidden. Only the shadows can keep you safe.
“Run if you want to live.”
Hiding isn't always enough.
If you're spotted, your only choice is to run.
Leap, dodge, and scramble past obstacles to reach safety… if it still exists.
“Destroy the heart of the Transcendents.”
These entities—called Transcendents—rule over this broken world with overwhelming presence.
If you face them, you will die.
But for some unknown reason, you awaken in a hidden dimension housing their heart.
Gain mysterious powers, destroy the structures guarding the heart, and bring them down.
“Uncover the truth.”
Why did they destroy this world?
What is the true nature of the power Nero has gained?
And where… is Snoa now?
Piece together the clues, discover the truth, and find her again.
Whatever awaits… keep moving.

– How to Run the Game –
1. Launch the game by running "DOSMIC.exe".
2. Both keyboard and gamepad (Xbox recommended) are supported.
3. If you encounter any bugs or lags, press "ESC" on the keyboard or the "Menu (≡)" button on the gamepad to pause.
From there, select "Back to Title" or "Exit Game" to restart the game.
4. If the game is closed abnormally (e.g., using ALT+F4), a bug may cause DOSMIC.exe to remain running in the background.
If you're unable to delete the game due to it being "in use," open Task Manager and manually end the DOSMIC.EXE process.

Hello! I played the game during version 0.103 on stream!
So this feedback might be a little outdated, but I still wanted to share what I felt, meow!
The visuals and setting were incredibly captivating!
The first town, with its dark, shadowy buildings in front and a glowing light in the distance, created a scene where—strangely—the light-filled area felt slightly unsettling. It was very well done.
The battle with the giant was especially fun!
The visuals and music really helped build the tension, and I was excited to see what would happen each time I progressed further.
As for the controls, I noticed a slight delay between input and action—things felt a bit sluggish.
There were many times when I thought I was moving correctly, but the character didn’t respond as expected, and I died... It almost made me want to give up!
But that might already be improved in the current version!
I really enjoyed it, so I’m looking forward to more updates, meow~ 🐾
Hello! Thank you so much for playing my game!
I’ve been continuously working to improve the controls based on all the feedback. I really appreciate your kind words and support.
I’ll keep working hard on the development! Thanks again!
Hey, man,
It was my pleasure to play this game
I really enjoyed this game, it is great work! I encountered some bugs and glitches, mainly the one with the invisible ground, but I finished it anyway, great experience!
If you want, I will put the video down, so it won't make a bad impression for your game, but I assured viewers (which I don't have many yet, that is also plus for you :D and that is also the reason why I wanted to upload some completely new game and this one doesn't have any Let's Play yet) that it is just like a pre-build, like alpha version, or so, version 0.104 so it is understandable that it will have some bugs and that also that bugs and glitches I encountered maybe won't show on somebody other computer. And I enjoyed it even with this bugs, so it is really great game!
Maybe you'd like to give custom optimization for controls, or to implement alternate controls also for keys Q and E, mainly E, to grab ledges. Because it is pretty hard sometimes when I was playing on WASD to hit E when I'm holding D to grab a ledge in mid-air. I also said in the video that maybe to give it on K or something, so I can use with right hand when I'm playing with WASD. Then I started playing with arrow keys and it was better, but I like to play games on WASD.
Anyway, great game!!! Keep it up! I have wishlisted it and I'm awaiting for the full release, this game is like LIMBO, but better in my opinion!
Here is my Let's Play, you can check it and see for yourself, what bugs and glitches I'm talking about.
Then I remembered to hit Back to the title and Continue again, it helped, but not always.
Hi! Thank you so much for playing my game.
I watched your video, and I’m really sorry to see those issues. It must have been very difficult, especially with the boxes not visible and many parts broken, but I truly appreciate that you played through to the end.
If possible, could you share your PC specs? (I suspect the issue may be due to an older version of DirectX, but that’s just an assumption for now.)
As for controls, I do plan to support full key customization in the future. But since that will take time, I’ll quickly add an alternative key — like the K key you suggested — in the next update.
Thanks again for your honest feedback and support!
You're very much welcome. I enjoyed this game anyway, even if it was a bit harder for these unplanned obstacles :D but really GREAT GAME!
As for specs I wrote in in YT comments, but here it is, just to make sure:
Processor: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 (4 cores / 8 threads)
RAM: 8 GB DD4-3200
Storage: 238 GB NVMe SSD
Graphics Card: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
Operating System: Windows 10
I think I found the cause!
One of the latest graphics features in Unity (the game engine) has compatibility issues with certain Intel GPUs. Until it’s resolved, the best workaround is to disable that feature or wait for a future driver update.
Thank you so much for letting me know!
